HOLE 1 Par 4
Handicap 9
Yardage
Black 395 | Gold 373 | White 341 | Red 309
Description:
A tight opening hole, number one is a slight dogleg right that rewards a left to right ball flight. From there, a short iron is all that remains for your approach. The center of the green is a great place to be, as the elevated putting surface slopes left to right toward Elizabeth Creek.
HOLE 2 Par 5
Handicap 1
Yardage
Black 616 | Gold 593 | White 544 | Red 512
Description:
Champions Circle’s most formidable par 5 leaves little room for error off the tee. Pinpoint accuracy and distance is key to avoid bogey or worse. Going for the green in two is high risk and requires an accurate fairway wood to find the putting surface. Most players choose to lay up, leaving a short iron or wedge into a green guarded by overhanging trees on both sides. At 616 yards from the back tee, Par here is a great score.
HOLE 3 Par 3
Handicap 13
Yardage
Black 185 | Gold 160 | White 138 | Red 101
Description:
A mid-length par 3, club selection is paramount here, as the hole has little protection from swirling winds. A pair of bunkers collect errant tee shots guarding both sides of a large green that breaks left to right.
HOLE 4 Par 4
Handicap 11
Yardage
Black 415 | Gold 390 | White 327 | Red 279
Description:
This par 4 features Harriet Creek winding its way through the hole, separating both the tee and front of the green for your approach shot. Something down the right center of the fairway is perfect. A precise approach to the elevated green is required to make par. Anything off the green leads to a drop or difficult pitch for recovery.
HOLE 5 Par 4
Handicap 15
Yardage
Black 353 | Gold 331 | White 318 | Red 304
Description:
The par 4 fifth hole is relatively short. The fairway is protected by a lone bunker on the left side and a group of small trees sitting atop a hill on the right. Positioning a long iron off the tee will leave a short approach over water into a tricky green that slopes back to front. A deep bunker on the left front side collects approach shots that lack the distance to find the putting surface.
HOLE 6 Par 3
Handicap 3
Yardage
Black 212 | Gold 199 | White 178 | Red 134
Description:
Champions Circle signature hole features 35 feet of elevation from tee to green and plays as long as 212 yards from the back tee. A long two-tiered green slopes back to front and is guarded by Harriet Creek to the right, and a large greenside bunker on the left. When playing into the wind, many players are forced to hit a fairway wood to reach the surface.
HOLE 7 Par 4
Handicap 5
Yardage
Black 454 | Gold 411 | White 379 | Red 346
Description:
A long par 4 from the elevated back tees, the fairway is generous and bends gently right to left. Large fairway bunkers on the left and right, frame the landing area for most tee shots. Clearing the one on left will leave players with the shortest approach into a two-tiered elongated green. Back pins are especially difficult to get close to.
HOLE 8 Par 4
Handicap 7
Yardage
Black 433 | Gold 404 | White 365 | Red 336
Description:
One of the most picturesque holes on the course, this tree lined beauty features an elevated tee box overlooking a fairway that doglegs left. Working the ball right to left with driver or fairway wood generally leaves a wedge approach into green that slopes right, and back to front. Misses right risk falling sharply into Elizabeth Creek.
HOLE 9 Par 5
Handicap 17
Yardage
Black 483 | Gold 465 | White 423 | Red 375
Description:
At 483 yards from the back tees, this par 5 presents an excellent birdie opportunity for those that find the fairway. Off the green, a large bunker to right and a cluster of tall trees on the left guard against offline approach shots. The putting surface can be tricky as it slopes sharply in spots from left to right.
HOLE 10 Par 4
Handicap 14
Yardage
Black 334 | Gold 318 | White 260 | Red 239
Description:
This short par 4 plays at just 334 yards. A large pond will swallow tee shots that drift too far to the right, and misses left face a severe slope down to tree lined Elizabeth Creek. Long hitters can reach the green from the tee, but a more conservative play is wise to leave a short 2nd to an elevated green.
HOLE 11 Par 4
Handicap 10
Yardage
Black 305 | Gold 261 | White 217 | Red 200
Description:
Across the creek adjacent to #10 is the short par 4 11th. The fairway is more generous than it looks to the eye, but players are forced into risk/reward decision to play an iron down the middle or to go for the green off the tee. Either way, staying out of the hazard area should lead to a birdie opportunity.
HOLE 12 Par 3
Handicap 12
Yardage
Black 181 | Gold 163 | White 147 | Red 111
Description:
A narrow tree lined par 3, the distance to the pin can vary depending on tee and pin placement. The real challenge is the green itself, which is well-protected and surrounded by a large bunker on the right strategically placed to collect errant shots and punish those who miss the mark. The green features subtle undulations and breaks, making it essential for a good read.
HOLE 13 Par 3
Handicap 16
Yardage
Black 166 | Gold 142 | White 131 | Red 112
Description:
Club selection can be particularly difficult on this short par 3. The tee sits up on a small hill and the wind will often affect shots of any ball flight. This hole features a very large undulating green, but don’t be fooled, as 2 putting is no easy challenge here.
HOLE 14 Par 5
Handicap 4
Yardage
Black 525 | Gold 475 | White 442 | Red 416
Description:
This par 5 requires a precise tee shot to find a fairway that dog legs left. The landing area is bordered by marshy collection area on the right, and creek bed on the left. Those who successfully challenge the left side off the tee will have a shorter route to go for the green in 2, but laying up from any position in play will leave an easy pitch into a long, narrow green.
HOLE 15 Par 4
Handicap 2
Yardage
Black 437 | Gold 384 | White 348 | Red 279
Description:
At 437 Yards, number 15 is straight forward with a fairway that dog legs gently to the right. The left side is ideal and presents a great angle for your 2nd shot into a small green. Anything on the right side makes the approach much more challenging with a potential obstructed view from wetland vegetation.
HOLE 16 Par 4
Handicap 18
Yardage
Black 343 | Gold 308 | White 277 | Red 230
Description:
This short par 4 is straight away, but guard your tee shot against wetland vegetation to the right side. Anything in the fairway leaves players with a scoring club into a large green. On days where the wind is to your back, challenging the green on your tee shot is an option. This hole is a great start to the final stretch of scoring holes.
HOLE 17 Par 3
Handicap 8
Yardage
Black 157 | Gold 127 | White 111 | Red 89
Description:
The final par 3 is the shortest on the course, at just 157 yards from the back tees. The wind is almost always into the players face, so keeping the ball low can be beneficial to avoid coming up short. A bunker on the right is all you need to avoid, to have another chance at par or better.
Hole 18 Par 5
Handicap 6
Yardage
Black 506 | Gold 466 | White 440 | Red 381
Description:
The finishing hole is a strategic par 5 that is just over 500 yards. Longer hitters can reach a downslope on the left side of the fairway that slingshots the ball downhill to an area where only a mid-iron remains. The approach moves back uphill and must clear Elizabeth Creek to reach a green that is well guarded by bunkers on both sides. The green itself presents the most severe sloping of any on the golf course making 3 putting a normal occurrence.
